Internet has certainly changed our life.

Here is a list of 10 Websites that is changing our Life
P.S: The List is not made in any order
Google: Undeniably at the top. Anything and Everything is possible with Google. Larry & Sergin might not have predicted this Phenomenal Growth. With Growing Popularity and Revenue, Google is definitely making perfect march in its main stream business.

For Google, with 99% of the revenue from Advertising Program it has surpassed even the world’s largest Advertising & Communications Company – WPP, in terms of revenue.

With real time search making a big wave in the industry, apparently we have a lot more offerings from this $ 24 Billion company

Wikipedia: If Google is the start, then Wikipedia is the destination to groom your Knowledge. I am doing this since 2004 – lot of changes. I mean it

Wikipedia is the best solution for Instant reference. History in a Snapshot, Knowledge is spread across Industries and Specializations.

Life would have been miserable without this Encyclopedia.
Twitter: Evan Williams is yet to derive – Twitter’s Revenue model. But the estimated worth of Twitter is close to $ 1.2 Billion. Internet history has never seen a Promising Social Application like twitter.

A friend of mine asked me “What if, there is no Twitter tomorrow morning”

The creator of Blogger & Twitter will definitely have better things to offer.
“Jessica Alona is a Bi*ch, I need to think of something to make to take my mind off her”

Can you imagine, this one statement made the foundation for the birth of the worlds popular website.

Zack made this status update in his newly developed tool (Later known as Facebook) sitting in Harvard hostel.  Later Zack Drops out of Harvard to develop Facebook and change the world as we know.

Facebook is worth close to $ 2 billion dollar. Many investors want to grab this hot pie, its left with Zack to decide – A 25 years old boy who changed the rules of the social networking
When Rose was starting Digg, he invested $6000 into the site, which was supposed to be for a deposit on a house for him and his girlfriend. As a result of this, their relationship broke down. Since this, Rose has been quoted to say that “no matter what happens with Digg, I won’t put business first again.”

Digg is again a rule changing Product, Open Digg Homepage; you get to know what’s hot and happening in & around the world. Typically a news aggregator mostly based on the user generated content. Predictions are high that Digg can become the Promising Face of News Portal.

One of the best things you can do to help you get the best stumbling experience is to accurately fill out the ‘Manage Interests’ section. By selecting the sublets you prefer, StumbleUpon shows you Category of WebPages that you are interested in. It’s a Magic try this.

Blogger: One of the biggest Transformations. Listeners to creators, many have made carrier and even fortune with blogger. What just started as a small Project later went on to become creators pad.

TED: Idea, Innovation, Inspirational – three words that comes to my mind, when I think of TED. A path breaking event, that brings the best brains together around the world, because a good idea is always worth spreading.

Craigslist: Online Classified websites were seen as Spam Pages once. Craigslist changed the way we look at Online Classifieds. Now you can search anything in Craigslist, immaterial of your location

Now, Cloud is very close to us.
Cloud storage tools allows you to Store all your files, Sync & Share those file and with much more functionalities.
I have earlier written about the Online file storage tools, but this post is exclusively about Cloud Storage tools along with Desktop Folder Application.
  Zumedrive – 2GB Free Space
Dropbox – 2 GB Free Space
These tools are designed to be extraordinarily simple to use and there is major difference between the way these two tools operate from the rest
  1. Desktop Storage Application – You need to download the Desktop Application, and you can store all your files in the desktop folder and share it from any device
  2.  Synchronization : Storing a file in your Desktop Folder (Zumodrive/Dropbox) can be accessed from any other machine (Via Cloud Storage Drive: User Name/Password)
I am fan of Dropbox, the most elegant Web 2.0 tool that I have seen so far with simple drag and drop option at an optimal speed.

The Largest – Mammoth Corporation still, for More than two decades Microsoft had been in the news for its Insanely Uncreative designs and Wrong Timing (Microsoft Launched its Social Networking Site in 2009- Live Planet)

Now things are getting better, Microsoft is no more a copycat – The hard earned lessons from failures seems to reflect in Microsoft’s recent Product Strategies. Now Microsoft is desperate about getting things right at its first move.
And they are ……

Successfully Launched, Windows 7: Ask anybody, the Feedback on Window 7 would be “It’s better than Vista”
Like any other Microsoft Product, Windows 7 is hardly flawless but it does get the basic things right and it doesn’t annoy you with alerts/notifications.
The Snipping tool and the Mouse over browser view are the two evident and useful features in Windows 7. To sum it up, Windows seven is sleek and faster

Social – Outlook: Microsoft Outlook is more social now. Outlook can be integrated with all Popular social Applications now.

Xobni is an outlook plug-in that integrates Outlook with your Twitter, Face book, LinkedIn accounts and more productively with your Hoovers Account – Should mention “Xobni is one of the Finest Multi Tasking Plug-in”

Bing – The Decision Engine: Bing is Microsoft’s attempt to tap the Market, outside the Business front. Though, Bing is not Microsoft’s answer to Google, it definitely deserves a Try for its good Interface. Infact Bing had given me good Image search results.

MSN Homepage Makeover: The Long resisted MSN’s Confusing Homepage is no more. The Big daddy of Business Applications is back with a Bang.

MSN Home Page gets a complete makeover which is visually pleasing with an excellent user friendly Interface and the best part of the homepage is its color – White (Most of the Successful Web brands prefer to stick to white)

New MSN homepage is more social –Your Twitter, Face book accounts can be accessed and Updated through the homepage.

The homepage is well segmented for different genres – New, Entertainment, Sports, Money, Lifestyle …

Thank god, there is no Microsoft’s – Twitter Version: I believe Microsoft must have strongly resisted itself from releasing its Twitter Version. For more than a Decade, Microsoft had been experimenting in social web resulting with numerous fiascos.

Good that Microsoft did not attempt to clown Twitter – This had prevented Microsoft from a self mockery

Now with the launch of New Windows mobile, Microsoft retail outlet, Convincing Ads – Yes definitely Microsoft is in an ideal path.

Where are our files stored in the Web?
If it is in cloud where are they?
And how are they connected to the web?
Give a damn about all these questions, file storage tools have much more advantage than any Tangible Storage Devices and Emails.
Ideal features that you should look in an Online File storage tool:
1)      Storage Capacity
2)     Speed
3)     Security & Sharing with Friends (Email, Social Pages like Twitter, LinkedIn)
4)     Interface
5)     High level of Integration
Here we go with the best of, all Online File Storage tools:
Dropbox: The BEST among all Storage tools and my favorite, offers a Storage capacity of 2 G.B. Dropbox acts more like your desktop folder with a flimsy interface
Get the Complete review of the tool here
Box.net: The most popular and widely known for its Sharing feature.
Divshare: Offers a Storage Capacity of 5 G.B with a decent enough Speed and with ease of Usability
Zoho: The best online office suit available in the web, Zoho offers a Storage capacity of 1 G.B with Rich Interface.
Microsoft Skydrive: Offers 25 G.B Storage Capacity but Time Consuming – Literally takes more time to upload file.

Here are some of the other File Storage tools: Mediafire, Adrive, Mosy, Syncplicity
